Question about catagories

There has been some confusion about the categories on motionPHR. These were taken directly from the Google standard Continuity of Care Record. But with standards they change and Google has removed the Problems category.

Condition: condition is any illness that you suffer from Abdominal Bloating to Xerosis.

My suggestion is to use the conditions category and not the problems list, but in saying that if you have a use for it as many physicians do. keep on using it.

New feature for version 2.0

We are working on many new features for the next release of motionPHR. One of the main features is the connection with Google Health. We have been working on this but waiting to make sure your data is secure before moving ahead. Note this will be an option not a mandatory features.

We are also adding features to make your health easier to manage.

More updates soon.

motionPHR Backup to Google Docs

This feature will allow you to store a copy of your encrypted data on your Google Docs account for in the event that you would need to backup your data. Example loss password, lost phone, reloading of iPhone.

You will need to setup a Google document account to use this feature. see www.google.com

Bad reviews with not comments

We have had a few bad review but no comments were left. I am assuming that these are from competition. One was from a so called analysis that didn't know the difference from a mobile PHR and a Web App.

If you have any problems please let us know at info@motionphr.com

thanks
Jeff

reason to review Medcodes

Patient found incorrect Billing code in Google Health, which the hospital used as a code that was "close" for billing, the problem is that the code was for a incorrect disorder which is now in his medical record. Not Good.
I will post reference when I find it.

Web based PHR not so good for traveler

I am in Argentina and I tried to access my PHR on both Google Health and Health Vault, neither with success. If you want to access your Health record while traveling you better have your data on your phone.

Allscript, a leader in EMR and EHR software for ambulatory and hospitals has announced an iPhone application for caregivers. Their new app will provide doctors and caregivers access to Allscripts EMR systems, allowing them to view patients medical records on their phones. FAQ

Why are reminders not retained in restored backup/import - We are not able to retrieve the data from Google calendar at this time. You will have to re-enter your reminders

Condition list end Date, why no open end date for current condition? We could not use the calendar and provide this feature so to work around simply pick a date far in the future. You can also add "active condition" to the description field.

Why do you use Google for backups and calendar? Apple at this time does not allow apps to write to the disk or access the calendar.

Is Backup data secure? Yes, all user data is encrypted.

Are reminders secure on Google calendar? no, but we offer a facility to change the name of your medication e,g. you can name Celebrex -> med c or whatever you would like. We also suggest that you setup a separate google account for motionPHR that is not associated with you personally. Example; google user name "motionphr_xxx" where the xxx is your initials.

Why do you not support xrays

iPhone does not have the capacity to store a useful x-ray. A 2 dimensional x-ray which can vary with density, average size is 30 MB, 3D images are 200MB, iPhone extended data is 16 MB
Systems that provide this feature use it as a marketing gimmick.

Can I import my records from my doctors office

At this time you will have to put your records in by hand. Our next release will make this easier. One problem is that most doctors cannot or will not give you electronic copies of your records.

Are you CCHIT complient

CCHIT at this time does not certify PHR only ambulatory and Hospital EHR
